Daisies Meet Sunflower

Daisies Meet Sunflower
8x8 Acrylic
1.5" Gallery Wrap Canvas
Charles Reid wrote in one of his many flower painting books that daisies were his favorite flower to paint. I understand why - they are always unique and each has their own little character and attitude. There are lots of shadow color possibilities with them too - blue-greys, buttery yellows, pale oranges, and of course, pinks. I finished this painting with some final "almost white" impasto daisy petals - kind of like the last bit of frosting on the cake. This painting would make a cheery little kitchen addition.
Below is a detail segment of "Daisies Meet Sunflower".
