Wildflower Blue was recently sold at The Greenbrier Hotel during our Seven Artist "12 Days of Christmas" Show in the Spring Room. The lady who bought it said she was attracted by the color first. I think that the periwinkle blue and pink with lavender combination in this painting is very enticing. I really enjoyed painting this one - it has everything I look for in a painting project: lots of color, a nice color harmony, a semi-abstract look, and lots of juicy impasto brushwork. No doubt I'll be doing more wildflower paintings like this one.
