Sunflower Basket is another small painting on gallery wrapped canvas perfect for the kitchen, bath or hallway. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers to paint. On my easel now is a large painting of a sunny group of sunflowers - hope to post it soon. Yellows take a lot of thought and seem to be one of the hardest colors to show dimension with because of their short value range. But there are a lot of reds, oranges and pinks in my sunflower in progress to help the yellows along! Second photo is detail from the bottom right side of this small painting.
