Brooke's Tabby

Brooke's Tabby
Acrylic on Heavyweight Canvas Tote
NFS
Brooke's Tabby is an acrylic painting I did for my good friend Genevieve's granddaughter. It was done on a heavyweight canvas tote bag - so that she could take her tabby with her everywhere! Although I treated the image area with acrylic sealer before starting, the paint soaked into the weave of the canvas beautifully to give a real watercolor effect. Brooke loved it and so did her tabby, I'm sure. This tabby is the same kitty who stars as Tiger Pause on one of my older Cat Cards.
One of my favorite artists is LeRoy Neiman with his loose, colorful style. His use of color is startling and beautiful. You'll see what I mean if you visit his website (click on his name above) - be sure to view his big cat posters - extraordinary color! Love to paint those cats! Your comments are always welcome.
