Another blue iris painting - all the usual suspects are present: cobalt blue, manganese, Prussian, ultramarine, cobalt violet, and some stray purples and pinks. My friend, Rose, would call this one of my "stemmie" paintings - but I'll have to say it's hard not to paint lots of stems when irises are the subject! I like the abstract quality of this painting and its diagonal composition. Second photo shows the brushwork detail of the center of interest bloom. Your comments are always welcome.
