Who could resist this little white cat
with the Valentine heart around his neck?
I usually don't do seasonal paintings, but I wanted to do a painting with a heart in it, for no real good reason, other than I like heart shapes, so I decided to add a cat, what else! This cat has cobalt blue and cobalt violet eyes, an alizarin heart, and a Naples yellow chain around his furry neck. Lots of titanium white paint used here and lots of pastel underpainting too. Second photo shows some face detail and heart detail on this little puss. Your comments are always welcome.
