Big Bloomers
30x40 Acrylic on 1.5" Gallery Wrap Canvas
Big Bloomers is a warm, colorful acrylic I painted last month in anticipation of the Bath County Art Show in Warm Springs, Virginia. It is a large piece done with a limited palette with the addition of permanent rose and yellow ochre. You can't really tell from this photo, but the brushwork on the big blooms is very dynamic. 1.5" gallery wrapped sides of canvas are painted in deep yellow ochre that matches the warm feeling of the background. This piece would look great in an entryway or in a large bedroom.
