Studio Bouquet
14x14 Acrylic on 1.5" Gallery Wrapped Canvas
The inspiration for this new floral painting is the large silk bouquet in my studio window. I never get tired of looking at it and have painted it several times. I used my normal 7 color palette on this bright bouquet, with the addition of Quin Rose Light, a nice warm peachy-pink. Canvas was underpainted in the usual Cad orange medium, and heavy impasto strokes were added just before the final varnish. Second photo shows detail of the group's middle section.
