A bit early for roses, I'll admit, but here are four big white ones that may help urge spring along. Regular palette again with the addition of Quin Rose Deep. I used a lot of Prussian Blue in the green foliage this time. The darkest darks are also pure Prussian. There was a lot of transparent under painting, like watercolor, that was done underneath the opaque white brushwork of the petals. The browns in this painting are a mixture of Prussian Blue and Cad Red Light, along with a small bit of Naples Yellow to create the lighter, sandier versions.
