Geranium Portrait

Geranium Portrait
12x16 Acrylic on Winsor Newton Canvas Panel
This pot of Geraniums was yesterday evening's cool-down painting. I guess if I do warm-up paintings in the morning - I must be doing cool-down paintings in the evening! Lots of warm Quin reds and pinks, cad yellow, orange and red medium, along with Quin Magenta for the shadow petals. You can see the cad orange underpainting peeking through beneath the blooms. Mineral blue amd titanium white for a darker than usual background. Burnt sienna and Diox. purple for the dark-darks. Your comments are always welcome.
