Two more warm-up/cool-down paintings from this week's efforts. They will both look great framed. Usual palette on both with the addition of cobalt turquoise in the Peony Sparkle leaves. Both painting have lots of impasto brushwork, especially the Peonies - guess it was just that kind of an evening! The beautiful red in the upper right of Summer Brights is a mixture of Permanent Rose and Alizarin with a touch of Lemon Yellow. The iris blues and purples in this same painting are a mixture of Mineral Blue and Diox purple. Your comments are always welcome.
