Himalayan Blue Poppies is a fun mixed media painting with lots of lush blues and lavenders over deep background colors. It is my regular acrylic painting style over hand dyed paper, which was also done in my studio. The rough texture of the dyed paper gives the acrylic paint a lot of impasto texture keeping the painting fresh and lively. The second photo shows detail from the upper left portion of the painting.
