Snowy Spruce is the perfect painting for this time of year. The mountains of West Virginia are full of icy scenes like this one. We have few Spruce where I live, but as you get higher in elevation, there are many. I love to paint evergreen trees with their deep blues and greens. These are times when a touch of phthalo green comes in handy. This painting sold at The Greenbrier during our "12 Days of Christmas Show" and now hangs in a beautiful home right here in WV.
